Why Do I Duplicate The Ad Sets For My Facebook Ads? You Should Too...

Duplicate Your Facebook Ad Set and use Facebook Campaign Budget Optimization Feature.

- Before I start sharing, I would like to inform everyone that I am not working for Facebook nor I represent Facebook in any way.
- This sharing of mine is purely based on my personal experiences, experiments and mistakes.

=====================

I have met many business owners for the past few months AND I found out that 98% are still making their Facebook ads in this format - 1 Campaign - 1 Ad Set - 1 Ad

With current landscape where advertising costs are going up due to changes of audience behavior AND more businesses are investing in Facebook ads, it is always better for us to cast the net wider.

With creation of 1 Campaign - 1 Ad Set - 1 Ad, I doubt we can cast our net wider AND stretch our advertising dollars.

What is the main benefit of duplicating Ad Set?

Simply, we have more audience sampling to test and show our ads at any point of time compared to having only 1 Ad Set.

So you should be making 1 Campaign - 2 Ad Sets - 2 Ads.

Imagine you have 1 big circle representing your total audience size based on your interests targeting options you have selected.

Within that 1 big circle, there are 2 small circles. And these 2 small circles are representing your 2 ad sets. Compared to having 1 small circle in 1 big circle.

Got it? Can picture it?

You will get more advantage when you couple this Ad Set Duplication technique with Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO).

Why?

CBO is a feature that will help you to find the biggest opportunity at the lowest costs.

If you are only making 1 Ad Set, this CBO feature will not work.

In order CBO feature to work effectively, it needs a reference. That's why 2 ad sets are needed, the very minimum.

1 Campaign - 2 Ad sets - 2 Ads

How this works?

Let's say you allocate a lifetime budget of $500. (Please, you do need consider to calculate a min $5 budget daily per ad set. Meaning, with a ad budget of $500, your ad can run for a maximum of 50 days.)

So...let's say today, Ad Set #1 and Ad Set #2 is being allocated $5 each AND it appears that Ad Set #1 has better performance, Facebook will allocate more budget to Ad Set #1 the next day.

- Whenever there is a potential of a Ad Set to perform better, Facebook will allocate more budget accordingly. Now, Facebook works harder for you.

How do I do it?

- Usually, I will do it 1 ad set with video AND the other ad set with a photo.
- Both of my ad sets have the same audience targeting.

So, if you want more success from your Facebook ads, try this.
